Hugging this character: Yes, but would you hug a noisy flatchested scientist who may or may not be surprisingly ripped under the tacky shirt and labcoat she wears?
Kissing this character: Yes, but please note this might not shut her up
Flirting with this character: Yes, but given her ego... might not be advised.
Doing lewd things to this character: Yes. Her baseline character pretty much originated in a series that's pretty much an eroge. As does her PB. So fuck it. Why not.
Fighting with this character: Yes. Please be advised she has a guitar case bazooka. But in all likelihood your character would probably win.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): Yes. Comical and cartoony injuries are much loved. More serious injuries can be played as well. Mutilation and dismemberment will require discussion.
Killing this character: Requires discussion, if you sell it well enough I'll say yes. Please note she's as much a cockroach as her original incarnation - who SOMEHOW survived an Eldritch Spell from the Necronomicon that involved infinite heat and pressure with no apparent injuries.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes, BUT ITS NOT THE BEST PLACE TO BE. It'd be painfully noisy, bright, annoying and full of SCIENCE and EGO.
Character Summary:
Whether male or female, there is honestly no difference in skill or major personality changes as throughout it all, they will be who they always will be - The Prodigy on Paper. The Century's Greatest Genius. DOCTOR WEST.
DOCTOR WEST has the sheer intelligence and skill to create multi-storey killbots filled to the brim with guns, a fully sentient extremely lifelike gynoid with superhuman capabilities and backpacks that can allow people to tank point blank nuclear annihilation without worrying about radiation or the explosion itself. In a universe where ELDRITCH MAGIC and ELDER GODS exist, where UNFATHOMABLE POWER can be unleashed... she keeps up with tenacity and SCIENCE - even if she doesn't gain any major wins.
However...
DOCTOR WEST lacks common sense. Forgetting to rustproof a robot she hides in seawater, forgetting to put any sort of failsafe to prevent her sentient robot assistant from falling in love with her greatest adversary and pretty much working for an organization bent on taking over the world and unleashing lovecraftian horrors upon it. She does however ultimately choose to side with the good guys, the rampant destruction, murder and mayhem being unleashed in the endgame being too much even for her.
As it is in her baseline - she's one of the wackiest characters in a story that can get horrifyingly and nightmarishly dark.
Make no mistake though, while she is a comic relief character, she can get serious when the situation merits it and she will throw down as hard as she can. Just because she never won a fight against the Sorcerous Dangerous Pervert and Master of the Necronomicon Daijuuji Kurou doesn't mean she's a wimp - she made him work for those victories!
As Baseline!Doctor West has a Rocker persona about him, Genderbent!West would be more of a Punk Rocker - her introductory guitar riffs being more furious (Yes she carries her guitar with her at all times, in that case that's also a bazooka) and wild. She is also a skilled motorcyclist... enough to be able to control her vehicle while trying to blow someone up with the previously mentionef guitar case bazooka.
Given that in Demonbane - magic is implied to be equal to certain... sizes... in regards to male anatomy, its greatly alluded that Baseline!West comes up short... which carries over to this alternate's bust. However she refuses to fall into the trap of A-Cup Angst! For Doctor West, she believes that not only does it add to her clumsy moe appeal, but it also means that for when the day comes and love blooms, when her genius cannot bear the solitude that her immense intelligence forces her to take - she will be able to hold the one she loves as close as she can to her heart!
